The future is now
Remember when time used to move at a steady rate: one second following another? Well no more; time is now moving exponentially. The power of technology is increasing at an unimaginable rate. The maturing state of Industrie 4 and the dawn of Industrie 5 serve as a landscape into which, 5G, AI, and Extended Reality can be planted, nurtured and observed to flourish.
Forget Chat GPT4… 5… 6. These are merely the foetus of a, as yet, unborn child of humanity. The introduction of AI capable of utilising mathematics to leverage logic and negate hallucinations of the cyber-mind will see us, as a species, either flourish in this new landscape or be replaced by a higher form of intelligence.
Perhaps this is a false dawn, but more likely, it describes our transition from that of a carbon-based life-form into one that is silicon by design.
Dystopia? - maybe. However, we have seen many innovations enter society, meld with us, and create an entirely new reality. For most across the globe, who would ever have thought that horses would be become an indulgence, rather than an everyday necessity.
The horizon over which we gaze isn’t one of reality. Rather, one of extended reality.
The Business of tomorrow, today
Business has been around for as long as the skill of one person was desirable to another. Exchange of goods and services are the very bedrock of our modern world, allowing us to escape a subsistence existence by doing what we do best; then selling it to another.
However, the future is about to unleash a force upon the business world - AI. Introduction of artificial intelligence into Business is going to change our entire relationship with work, enabling us to create new and exciting opportunities by leveraging untold computational power to reshape everything around us.
Failure to adapt to this disruption will see businesses fall by the wayside. And, by the same measure, those able to visualise new opportunities; restructure there operations; and reconfigure the org. chart will thrive.
As always, the future is bright and the future is scary. The only choice each of us need to make is whether or not to adapt.
